Impact of Covid19 on the Education System

 स्कूल व शिक्षण संस्थाओं का खुलना कितना सही , कितना गलत - एक विश्लेषण

( Opening of Educational Institutions - right or wrong - An Analysis)

The government of Haryana has decided to open the schools and colleges in wake of demand of parents. It is a good step. The students can not be debarred from their right of education. But as the pandemic has not ended yet, so there are risks also. India has witnessed the second wave of corona that swallowed innumerable lives like a demon.  All our medical system had collapsed and we were helpless before this invisible enemy. Somehow we could control the corona pandemic. When corona cases came to lower level, the government decided to open offices, markets, industries, restaurants, zims, swimming pools and at last the educational institutions
. The students especially the school children are not so judicious to follow corona SOPs. So they were decided to come to schools at last. Though govt, specially the Haryana government has met out the need of students through online education, DTH, AVSAR AP etc, but they all cannot replace a living classroom teaching. So it was needed by parents, specially the poor parents who could not afford purchasing an android mobile phone, . So the government has to open the institutions. Directions have been issued to follow SOPs strictly. The third wave of corona is expected to ravage us in late September, So it is crucial time for students to take class room teaching which they had been waiting for a long time.We have about two months before the third wave of the pandemic hit us. During this period the problems related to students can be solved . A small portion of syllabus may also be covered that will help the poor students a lot. During this short period, the students are expected to devote all their mind and energy towards learning. They should utilise this period solving their doubts and learning how different Apps may be used for online learning. The poor students who don't have Android phones may be grouped with those who have. In this way these two months are very important for students. The teachers are also expected to help the students. But everything depends on the learners. If they are willing and receptive, these two months will help them a lot, but if they neglect studies and waste these two precious months, the motive of opening schools will go waste. I hope the students will consider the the importance of this time and do all that is instructed to them. The teachers will also do hardwork for the students .

Impact of Corona  or covid 19 on Education System

It is a very crucial and hot subject today as how covid 19 has impacted the Education System in India and abroad. We all have witnessed the havoc caused by this invisible monster during last twenty months. First case of covid 19 was observed in India in December 2019 when none of us was aware of the graveness this micro virus could cause and bring a stanstill to the world economy . It affected not only the world economy but the whole education system also as only concern of the people during this period was to live somehow. The string of life may somehow be sustained was only the wish during this hard time of Covid and everyone forgot all about money and matters or Education. Only hope was God or unearthly powers. People became more religious, more humane, more humble and more helpful. Everyday deaths of nears and dears , wailing children, crying women and men, heaps of corpses in crematoriums and many more heart rending scenes in hospitals were looming large like a tragic movie before the eyes of those who were lucky enough to save themselves from the cruel clutches of this devil called Covid19. In such circumstances to think about education seemed impossible. All education institutions from school to colleges and universities were closed for indefinite period because main concern was not education but sustenance of life only. So Education System was worsely affected as there were no options for online classes then save some higher standard coaching institutes. During this period of crisis teachers played a very crucial role by proving online education through whatsapp groups, YouTube Channels or other Apps. Some best teachers provided online notes also on different topics through blogger, Facebook or other mass media. It was innovative for the students and they enjoyed online system of education very much. Later on Education Department also developed many Apps like Avsar, Diksha, saksham etc. that not only provided top rated topics on different subjects but also provided training to teachers. Weekly evaluation of students was facilitated and recorded online . Students were also issued digital certificates of their achievements . So the proverb "Where there is a will , there is a way" proved true and online classes made up the offline classes. Avsar App launched by Director secondary education proved a boon for the students as lessons from the best teachers were uploaded on this App and students were free to use it anytime provided they had internet connection. The result of the online classes was perceived in board exam when most of the students received above ninety percent marks. Parents and students praised the teachers for the efforts they made for them but felt that online teaching could not replace classroom teaching. It is true that online teaching saved the system from collapsing but we cannot rely upon it for long because of its limits.
